Great neighborhoods empower people to grow and prosper; this is the vision of Chelsea Neighborhood Developers (CND).  CND’s mission is to build vibrant and diverse neighborhoods with homes that are affordable to families with a mix of incomes, and where people choose to invest in the neighborhood’s social fabric, economic opportunities, and built environments.  To this end, CND employs three investment strategies to build vibrant and sustainable neighborhoods: real estate development to strengthen housing markets and to expand affordable housing inventory; community engagement to foster a resilient social fabric and civic infrastructure; and resident asset development to increase family prosperity.

The Hollywood Community Studio (HCS or the Studio) researches the physical and social changes taking place in Hollywood.  HCS helps coordinate investments in place and people by linking local residents and small businesses with the opportunities that arise from redevelopment (like access to new jobs and housing). HCS is supported by the Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles and a coalition of community-based non-profit organizations.

IACED was founded in 1986 to serve community economic development organizations working on behalf of disadvantaged and low-income populations in Indiana.  IACED is a statewide organization with a local focus.  Organizations which join voluntary membership associations, such as IACED, are entitled to benefits as an incentive for their membership.  IACED’s approach to fulfilling this obligation to its membership is twofold.  First, IACED strives to develop products and services which meet the unique needs of community-based agencies.  This includes discounted training opportunities, low-cost or no-cost technical assistance, and vigorous community engagement and advocacy on community economic development issues.  Second, the networking

The Hollywood Community Studio (HCS) is a research and resource center of the Human Development Overlay District (HD-OD) dedicated to serving and planning with the local community of Hollywood.  The overarching goal of HCS is to address the health and vitality of neighborhoods by coordinating investments in place and investments in people, and encouraging community members to get involved in shaping development that affects their neighborhood. The Thai Community Development Center engages is community economic development to benefit low-to-moderate income individuals and families and is the human capital partner on the HD-OD project.
